The programme of events for this year has now been completed for 2012. It has been a most successful year and the Committee is planning to build on this momentum for even greater value for members in 2013. The presentations and webcast of these events are in the Chapter Library for reference.

Attendance numbers continued to exceed previous years providing better opportunities for the sharing of views and robust discussion with colleagues. (Venue capacity being reached on several occasions.) The chapter membership has continued to flourish with a growth of 30%.

As professionals continue to balance the business requirements for cost savings and a workplace with productivity gains, the year ahead looks to be full of challenges and innovative solutions.  Our Chapter’s aim is to provide a topical and relevant programme to assist members in meeting this challenge.

My view is that Sydney is leading the world in the rapid adoption of agile work practices and cloud computing. These two trends will have transformational impacts on Corporate Real Estate practices. This is a most exciting time to be in this market in Sydney in 2013. A time, when sharing of ideas and knowledge through CoreNet with colleagues is most useful and beneficial.

The details of our programme for next year will be listed on the web site during December. The topics will focus on workplace productivity, technology in the workplace and trends in portfolio management. The full programme includes - four forums, two site visits, a Master class, MCR courses and a Symposium. Your suggestions and ideas for content for next year are always most welcome.
